<p>Now that the number of children diagnosed with autism has drastically increased, there is a need to give help for autism. Children suffering autism should be given importance and priority. Considered as the fastest growing developmental disability, autism now affects 1 in 100 children. It is now the third most common disorder in children. It is more common than multiple sclerosis, Down Syndrome, or cystic fibrosis.</p>
<p><<span id="more-38"></span>br /><br />
<br />Autism is a neurological disorder that affects children as early as the first few months of life. It delays the development in social relationship, communication, and their activities and interest. The problem with autism is that it does not only affect the child but also the rest of the family, especially on the siblings. One research showed that in a family with an autistic child, one other child experiences behavioral problems such as aggressiveness, disobedience and acting out.</p>
<p>There are five types of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) &#8211; <b>Asperger syndrome, childhood disintegrative disorder, Rett syndrome, pervasive developmental disorder, and classical autism</b>. Each of these types varies in levels of disability or function. This is what makes ASD more difficult to defeat &#8211; its diversity. Parents must work together to disseminate new information about autism by sharing their experiences, ideas, and discoveries. This is a good way to give help for autism. Children need as many help as they can because they are still dependent from their parents.</p>
<p>There are already some groups that help autism but they cannot accommodate and reach some areas. There should be more organizations and foundations that would help families affected with autism, no matter where they are. Autism is now a worldwide occurrence and must be handled extensively. It would be easier to solve the problem if there are a lot of people willing to give help for autism. Children all over the world are suffering the disorder without receiving any assistance. It is would also be very comforting to know that there will be other person available and willing to give a hand.</p>
<p>I think that it would be asking too much but there should be more laws that cover and would give help for autism. Children with health problems should not be left out and be taken for granted. More funds must be allocated to support expensive researches and studies. Also, there is still no proven cure available for autistic children. Parents and pediatricians still rely on various treatment options available that only provide relative relief in some children.</p>
<p>Experts still consider early detection of ASD as the best way to help for autism. Children should be constantly monitored and observed as early as their first few months in life. In this way, treatment options can be applied immediately and this will improve the development of the child. Parents must also know how to properly care and handle their autistic child. Some children proved to be very good in arts, music, and even in Math. Most children also get hooked on puzzles, this is because they become obsessed in one thing. It is the jobs of the parents to recognize the strengths and weaknesses of their own autistic child.</p>

<p>Danielle &#8220;Deedee&#8221; was diagnosed with Autism at 24 months (Sept. 2000). She had no speech, had no eye contact, ground her teeth and had stereotypic hand movements. In November of 2005, Danielle was admitted to the hospital with sudden neurological losses. At that time she was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. She had been struggling for 4 years with failure to thrive. It became a severe problem by April 5, 2007 when she had a G-Tube placed. From that date on she had repeated g-tube infections and sepsis 5 times. During this time we started seeing cardiac issues, temperature regulation problem, and episodes of extremely low blood pressure. August 15, 2007 she had a pacemaker placed. This controlled the Bradycardia (heart rate below 30 bpm). The blood pressure continued to be a problem. Then she started have severe apnea episodes (waking and sleeping). It was at this time they realized that her autonomic system was failing. This progressed to not being able to hold any food or g-tube feedings down. Then in January of 2008 her digestive system shut down completely. It was at this time that her heart was only beating when it was paced by the pacemaker and the apnea became a constant and her oxygen saturation began to fall even with help of oxygen. On January 29th, 2008 at 7:45 PM (EST) Danielle lost her battle, and went home to the Lord.  <H3>Help answer the question about Rett Syndrome</H3>I need range of motion or leg and ankle stretch tips for a 9 year old girl with Rett Syndrome.?<br />I work with a little girl who has Rett Syndrome, and her leg muscles are generally very tight and she has problems walking, which is not uncommon for children with this disorder. <p>Child development can be branched off into many differing and varying departments. There is no single classification of child development because there are so many things to consider when thinking about the mental, emotional and physical development of the child. Ironically enough, while those are the big three when it comes to child development, they cannot exist without the other. They are intertwined and related, when one fal<span id="more-37"></span>ters, the other two will be effected.</p>
<p>Child development in the end of the day is holistic, using micro approaches to identify and spot potential problems early so that intervention can be executed and the child can grow up and function as a normal adult. This article will discuss some of the common developmental disorders in children, and how they can affect them not only in the early years, but also when they develop into adults. One of the most common ailments of brain disorders that can affect a child&#8217;s development is autism. Autism affects the social development, the communication skills and the expressive abilities of a child that can affect him or her till the adult years if not taken care of properly. It is classed under the nuerodevelopmental disorders and occurs in the brain.</p>
<p>Besides that, there is also autism spectrum disorder, which is a higher form of autism, and sometimes can include other social abnormalities, restricted interests, highly repetitive behaviour that come from Asperger syndrome of PDD-NOS. It can also include Rett syndrome or even childhood disintegrative disorder. All these disorders all are closely linked to autism and enhances the symptoms of core autistic behaviour. Then you have cerebral palsy, other forms of traumatic brain injury that can arise from an accident or substance abuse. You also have communication, speech and language disorders, which are separate from autism and only affect the speech centres of the brain. Other rarer ones are fragile &#8211; X syndrome and Down syndrome, which are much more serious and can adversely affect children physically as well as mentally.</p>
<p>The causes of these developmental disorders are varied and can come from many sources. It could be caused by deprivation, genetic disorders, immune dysfunction, infectious diseases, metabolic disorders, problems with their nutrition, trauma or bad experiences bombarding them since early childhood and even environmental factors like toxic conditions or even exposure to highly radio active wastes. As a parent or someone thinking of conceiving, it is important to know what are the causes of the more common ones and what you can do to avoid them from happening to your child. Check your family history if there is any case of developmental disorders and have blood work done. In this case having more knowledge can help you avoid even a modicum of developmental problems in your child. Ask doctors and child psychologists for assistance if you do happen to notice some alarming symptoms in your child and remember, early intervention is the best &#8216;cure&#8217; for these problematic conditions.</p>

<p>Autism Speaks offers a straightforward definition of Autism as &#8220;a complex brain disorder that inhibits a person&#8217;s ability to communicate and develop social relationships, and is often accompanied by extreme behavioral challenges.&#8221; </p>
<p>Although each individual exhibits varying forms of Autism (hence the &#8220;spectrum&#8221; of Autistic diagnoses), some groups of symptoms and behaviors are commonly associated with the disease. Cathe<span id="more-35"></span>rine Lord, Director of the University of Michigan Autism and Communication Disorders Center, offers the following answers about Autism Spectrum diagnoses:<br />ASDs are defined by difficulty in three areas of behaviors: 1) reciprocal social interaction, 2) communication and 3) repetition and insistence on sameness. Exactly how an individual is impacted across these three areas varies greatly. There is no one behavior that is present in all individuals with ASDs or that would rule out ASDs in every person. Many, but not all, individuals with ASD have language delays. Some individuals with ASD, but not all, have lifelong language disorders. Some, but not all, individuals with ASD also have mental retardation that affects development of nonverbal problem-solving, everyday self-care (e.g., dressing; academics) and language. <br />Within the category of Autism Spectrum Disorder (sometimes known as Pervasive Developmental Disorders or PDD), there are a number of subtypes that are associated with different levels of severity in different areas. <br />Autism is the disorder that has received the most study and has been recognized for the longest time. It is defined by the presence of difficulties in each of the three areas listed above (social deficits, communication problems and repetitive or restricted behaviors), with onset in at least one area by age 3 years. It may or may not be associated with language delays or mental retardation. <br />Asperger Syndrome is a form of ASD that is often identified later (e.g., after age 3, usually after age 5) and is associated with the social symptoms of autism and some repetitive interests or behaviors, but not with language delay or mental retardation. Many parents and professionals use this term with older and/or more verbally fluent individuals with autism because they feel it is less stigmatizing. <br />Rett Syndrome and Child Disintegrative Disorder are both very rare, severe forms of ASD that have particular patterns of onset, and, in the case of Rett Syndrome, a specific genetic basis. <br />Pervasive Developmental Disorder &#8211; Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS) is a form of ASD used to describe individuals who meet criteria for autism in terms of social difficulties but not in both communication and restricted, repetitive behaviors. It can also be used for children who do not have clearly defined difficulties under age 3 or later. This term is often used by professionals when they are not quite sure of a diagnosis or when the symptoms are mild. Several epidemiological studies have reported that as many or more children have PDD-NOS or less clear symptoms as have classic autism. The difficulties of children and adults with Asperger Syndrome or PDD-NOS are similar, and milder than those of individuals with autism, suggesting that these distinctions are fairly arbitrary and should not be used to limit services or benefits. </p>
<p>About Finn<br />Mari D. is a beginning Yoga student at the studio where I teach and work as the studio assistant. I received a phone call from her asking about private Yoga classes for her son, Finn, who had been diagnosed years earlier with PDD. Later, I received a book, beautifully and lovingly created for teachers and caregivers, all about Finn and his situation, his development, diagnosis, and likes and dislikes. In speaking further with Mari, she shared that the family had moved to Seattle from Houston in order for Finn to participate in therapeutic programs offered in this area that they could not find in Houston.</p>
<p>I was inspired by his parents&#8217; dedication to giving Finn every opportunity to thrive and develop into the bright and lovely boy he naturally is.</p>
<p>Mari had heard that Yoga was an appropriate therapy for ASD. The sole text I was able to locate on Yoga and ASD is an inspiring book about the journey of Yoga practicing mother and her son who was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, Yoga for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders: A Step-by-Step Guide for Parents and Caregivers by Dion E. Betts and Stacey W. Betts.</p>
<p>The Betts explain about Yoga and ASDs in the introduction to their book:<br />The physical symptoms of ASDs, while seemingly slight, may drastically impair wellbeing and health. These children need an appropriate and enjoyable physical program. The practice of yoga assists individuals with both strength and balance. The poses improve strength in the large muscles of the body and may increase the tone of the muscles. Yoga poses may also help to improve balance by helping your child become aware of the placement of his or her legs and feet in relations to the rest of the body. The resulting muscle strength and balance control may improve coordination. When the poses are practiced consistently, your child will feel more comfortable in his or her body, which can carry over into other areas of their life.</p>
<p>Another prevalent feature of children with ASDs is that they have many sensory issues. For example, they are often extremely sensitive to bright lights. These children also cannot tolerate loud noise. The taste, texture, and smell of food may present a problem to them . . . Some children, when presented with such stimuli, become upset and agitated. This behavior may cause your child&#8217;s peers to view him or her as different. These behaviors may lead to social isolation and feelings of loneliness. </p>
<p>Yoga may address and decrease these sensory problems in several ways. First, the physical practice of yoga soothes the nervous system. Yoga provides poses of flowing movements that allow energy to be released from the body. As your child goes through the movements of the yoga program, his or her body will become soothed and anxiety will lessen. By practicing poses, an over burdened sensory system is calmed and quieted. Moreover, the physical poses offer a non-competitive physical activity that releases pent-up energy. By practicing yoga, your child will have a respite from his or her usual experience of a sensory overloaded body.</p>
<p>Practicing yoga may help a child feel more at peace with his or her body. Once your child is calmer and more focused, he or she may be able to concentrate better on learning social skills.</p>

<p>Neurodevelopment disorder is also known as disorder of neural development or brain development disorder. Physically, it is characterized as impairment of brain or central nervous system. Psychologically, it is defined as a condition of abnormal brain function that effects the children&#8217;s emotion, learning ability and memory as they grow. The condition happens in the early year of their life and if not treat, it may inflict their<span id="more-33"></span> social behaviour, learning ability, etc.</p>
<p>I. Causes <br />The causes of brain development disorder are still unknown, but many researchers suggest the following <br />1. Genetic passing through metabolic diseases <br />The disease is passed through from the parent to the inborn. Genetic and metabolic disorder are hard to diagnosis in the new born. The infant may be look healthy and with no any symptom when they were born, because the disease won &#8216;t strike until the time when children start to make directed contact with their surrounding environment. The typical cases are <br />a) Down syndrome <br />It is known as trisomy 21, is caused by the abnormality of chromosome number 21. <br />b) William syndrome <br />It is caused the abnormality of chromosome number 7 <br />c) Fragile X syndrome <br />d) Rett syndrome</p>
<p>2. Immune disorders <br />For what ever reason, the immune function becomes over react to certain situations and starts to attackthe brain tissues, leading to abnormal movements of the body, emotional disturbance and obsessive compulsive disorder symptoms.</p>
<p>3. Infectious diseases <br />Infectious diseases is defined as a type of disease which can transmit from the carrier to other person through one or more of diverse pathways, including physical contact, share food, body fluid, etc. <br />a) Mealse is one of the infectious disease that can cause subacute sclerosing panencephalitis as resulting of persistence infection by measle virus, leading to brain development disorder (cortical dysfunction). <br />b) Toxoplasmosis is a parasite disease caused by the protozoan toxoplasma gondii. People contact this type of diseases see their flu like symptoms disappearing within a few week, but for infants who normally have weakened immune system may see the disease progress, leading to encephalitis and severe brain tissues being damaged. <br />c) Meningitis <br />Most cases of meningitis is caused by bacteria infection, leading to inflammation, causing severe brain damage to the new born, including deafness. <br />d) Encephalitis <br />Encephalitis is another form of virus infectious disease, the new born can contact the virus when pass through an infected birth canal, leading to brain infection. The virus sometimes can stay inactive until the child comes under stress or sickness.</p>
<p>4. Nutritional deficiency <br />Believe it or not, researchers found that women who have folic acid and iodine deficiency during their pregnancy may cause risk to their babies in contacting neurodevelopmental disorders, leading to severe mental retardation. Excessive intake of both substances above may also cause brain damage as resulting of toxins accumulation in the new born central nervous system.</p>
<p>5. Physical trauma <br />Most cases of physical trauma is caused by congenital injury, it is happened due to injure as resulting of lack of oxygen to the brain or damage to the brain tissues itself, leading to cerebral palsy that cause permanent physical disability in the child development.</p>
<p>6. Environment toxic <br />Human have produced over 5000 different environment toxins, including heavy metals such as lead, mercury. If the child is unfortunately to have high levels of heavy metal accumulated in their brain due to detoxification dysfunction of body&#8217;s organs, it can cause severe brain damage, leading to impairment of emotional and physical development.</p>
<p>7. Medication <br />Some researchers found that certain vaccines used to protect the child may contribute to the onset of the disease. One of the vaccine, thimerosal contains 50 time more toxins than the plain mercury, if a infant can not excrete them, it may caused mercury accumulated in the brain, leading to severe brain damage and afflict the child development.</p>
<p>Antibiotic may be another cause of the brain development disorder, as the medication destroy the good bacteria, it causes the inability of the child in absorbing vital minerals, leading to nutritional causes of neuroldevelopment dysfunction</p>
<p>8. Severe deprivation disorder <br />Researchers found that children were born in a family without loving, caring, nurturing are likely to develop depression and show behavioural retardation.</p>
<p>II. Symptoms <br />There are many symptoms of neurodevelopment disorder, depending to the diagnosis, but the common symptoms include <br />1. Delay social development <br />Children with brain development disorder show little interest to social stimuli, less attention to smile and look at others less often, and respond less to their own name.</p>
<p>2. Communication <br />Most children do not develop enough natural speech and vocabularies to meet their daily communication needs and are more likely to simply repeat others&#8217; words.</p>
<p>3. Repetitive behaviour <br />Some children with brain development disorder may have some repetitive behavior such as <br />Flapping hands, arranging objects in a certain order, involving an unvarying pattern of daily activities and resisting to change.</p>
<p>4. Unusual eating behaviour <br />5. Motor problems that include poor muscle tone, poor motor planning, and toe walking <br />6. Insomnia <br />7. Sensitive to Sound <br />8. etc.</p>

<p>Danielle &#8220;Deedee&#8221; was diagnosed with Autism at 24 months (Sept. 2000). She had no speech, had no eye contact, ground her teeth and had stereotypic hand movements. In November of 2005, Danielle was admitted to the hospital with sudden neurological losses. At that time she was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. She had been struggling for 4 years with failure to thrive. It became a severe problem by April 5, 2007 when she had a G-Tube placed. From that date on she had repeated g-tube infections and sepsis 5 times. During this time we started seeing cardiac issues, temperature regulation problem, and episodes of extremely low blood pressure. August 15, 2007 she had a pacemaker placed. This controlled the Bradycardia (heart rate below 30 bpm). The blood pressure continued to be a problem. Then she started have severe apnea episodes (waking and sleeping). It was at this time they realized that her autonomic system was failing. This progressed to not being able to hold any food or g-tube feedings down. Then in January of 2008 her digestive system shut down completely. It was at this time that her heart was only beating when it was paced by the pacemaker and the apnea became a constant and her oxygen saturation began to fall even with help of oxygen. On January 29th, 2008 at 7:45 PM (EST) Danielle lost her battle, and went home to the Lord.  <H3>Help answer the question about Rett Syndrome</H3>I need range of motion or leg and ankle stretch tips for a 9 year old girl with Rett Syndrome.?<br />I work with a little girl who has Rett Syndrome, and her leg muscles are generally very tight and she has problems walking, which is not uncommon for children with this disorder.  I&#039;d like to find some stretches that would be beneficial to her, and how to apply these stretches correctly.<br />

<p>I. Definition</p>
<p>A neurodevelopmental disorder is defined as an impairment of the growth and development of the central nervous system. It effects the child&#8217;s brain function in controlling emotion, learning ability and memory as well as social interaction. Today, one in six children is diagnosed with some forms of development and behaviour disorder. It is advised for parent to have their child diagnosed early, if they found<span id="more-32"></span> that their child is withdrawing from social world, failing to learn the basic communication skill or struggle with emotional regulation, etc.. otherwise, a child may be at risk of becoming serious lifelong disability.</p>
<p>II. Most common types of brain development disorder</p>
<p>1. Autism disorder</p>
<p>Autism is one most common form of brain development disorder and one in 166 child is diagnosed with some forms of autism. It is defined as medical condition in which a child has some of the following impairments</p>
<p>a) Speech <br />b) Social and communication skills <br />c) Limited interest <br />d) Repetitive behaviour</p>
<p>2. Asperger syndrome</p>
<p>Children with Asperger syndrome has no problem with speech development, but have very poor social and communication skills. they may talk a lot, but fail to focus and keep up with the subject. they also have a very narrow interest as they may talk about only one single subject for months or years. Some children with Asperger syndrome may also engage in repetitive behaviour such as flagging hand.</p>
<p>3. Pervasive Development disorder</p>
<p>Children who have developed some or mild forms of autism are considered to have pervasive development disorder. Although some symptoms or important signs of autism are missing, they are likely to diagnoses with autism or Asperger syndrome later in their life.</p>
<p>4. Rett Syndrome</p>
<p>Rett syndrome effects mostly girl, is defined as a condition of which children lose social and communication skills as well as purposely use of their hand. It may also accompany with symptoms of hand repetitive and seizures.</p>
<p>5. Childhood integrative disorder</p>
<p>Children with childhood integrative disorder may gradually lose their language, social communication and self help skills between the period of 2 -4 years old.</p>
<p>6. Sensory integration dysfunction</p>
<p>Sensory integration dysfunction is a condition of which a child fails to react to the information collected from the scene, caused by abnormal brain function in processing information. Typically, most children with sensory integration syndrome may be under sensitive in reaction to pain or noise or over sensitive in reaction to certain environments such as noise, bright light or often both.</p>
<p>7. Auditory processing disorder</p>
<p>Auditory processing disorder is defined as damaging of the neurological structures and pathways of sound perception, therefore children with this disorder are able to hear sounds but have trouble to interpret what they hear.</p>
<p>8. Expressive language disorder</p>
<p>This is defined as a condition of which the children have a limited vocabulary and difficulty in recalling words or expressing themselves by using complex sentences.</p>
<p>9. Speech apraxia</p>
<p>It is caused by the broken down of the inter-reaction between the brain in controlling the speech muscles during speech. Children with speech appraxia know what they want to say, but can not speak through their voice and their words are difficult to understand.</p>
<p>10. Attention deficit hyperactivity</p>
<p>ADHD is defined as psychological condition of which a child has a poor attention skill, impulsive behavior and hyper-activity. The symptoms may appear to be innocent but annoying nuisances to other children. It effects between 3-5% of children globally and most of them are diagnosed later in their childhood life.</p>
<p>11. Attention deficit disorder</p>
<p>Unlike ADHD, children with attention deficit disorder are diagnosed only with symptoms of poor attention skill and impulsive behaviour. Although, the symptoms may appear only annoying to other children, it can inflict the learning ability of the children in the class.</p>
<p>12. Mental retardation</p>
<p>Metal retardation is considered as a generalized disorder. Children with mental retardation normally fail to adapt or adjust to another type of behaviour or situation. They also have a below average IQ ( 70 or lower) and difficulty in performing routine activity.</p>
<p>13. Hearing impairment</p>
<p>Hearing impairment is characterized as a child have a reduce of the ability to detect or understand sounds. Since the children can not hear well, it may interfere with normal progress of social and communication skills causing disruptive behaviour.</p>
<p>14. Seizure disorder (Epilepsy)</p>
<p>Since the normal function of neurons is to generate electrochemical impulses to act on other neurons, glands, and muscles to produce human thoughts, the damage or abnormal function of neurons in case of seizure disorder interferes with sensations, emotions, and behavior, resulting in delay or loss of social and communication skills.</p>
<p>15. Nonverbal learning disorder</p>
<p>The problems of the nonverbal learning disorder are not speech and memory, they may seem normal when they talk and understand what they hear, but in abstracted thinking such as non-verbal problem-solving, daily change of routine and social skills.</p>
<p>16. Traumatic brain injury</p>
<p>Traumatic brain injury normally caused by physical impacts such as car accident or lack of oxygen circulated in their body for a certain amount of time that damage certain areas of the brain in controlling speech, thinking, behaviour and social skills.</p>
<p>17. Fragile X syndrome</p>
<p>Fragile X syndrome is defined as a genetic defect. Children with this syndrome have difficult to control the physical, intellectual, emotional and behavioural aspects in their daily activity as resulting of inherited cause of mental retardation.</p>
<p>18. Tuberous sclerosis</p>
<p>This another type of genetic disease, which causes tumor to be growth in the brain and other organ, leading to seizure, delay development, behaviour problem and sometimes mental retardation.</p>
<p>19. William syndrome</p>
<p>William syndrome is a genetic defect, caused by a deletion of about 26 genes from the long arm of chromosome. Children with William syndrome appear to have unusual language skill and eager for social interaction, but can also be mental retardation and heart problems.</p>
<p>20. Angelman syndrome</p>
<p>This is a condition caused by deletion or inactivation of genes on the maternally inherited chromosome 15. Children with this type of syndrome have severe mental retardation that effect their intellectual and interfere with normal development. The syndrome also accompanies with unexplained smiling and laughing.</p>
<p>21. Prader-Willi syndrome</p>
<p>Prader-Will syndrome is also another genetic defect caused by missing or partial missing of the seven genes on chromosome 15. Children who was born with Prader-Willi syndrome have delay development and feeding difficulty in infancy and develop compulsive eating and food obsession after age one.</p>
<p>22. Phenylketonuria</p>
<p>Phenylketonuria is a genetically metabolic disorder caused by deficiency of phenylalanine hydroxylase, leading to accumulation of phenylalanine, interfering with development of the brain, causing severe brain damage, mental retardation if it is not controlled by a special diet in their early life.</p>
<p>23. Early-onset childhood bipolar disorder</p>
<p>It is also known as manic-depression. Children who are diagnosed with this disorder have symptoms of frequent mood swing, alternate thinking and behaviour .</p>
<p>24. Obsessive-compulsive disorder</p>
<p>Obsessive-compulsive disorder is characterized as a children life is disrupted by unwanted, unnecessary and repetitive thought, as well as an overwhelming need to do certain thing compulsively such as washing their hand many times a day, drinking a cup water before leaving home, etc.</p>
<p>25. Generalized anxiety disorder</p>
<p>It is a kind of anxiety disorder. Children with generalized anxiety disorder always worry about something, restlessness and fear without reason.</p>
<p>26. Selective mutism</p>
<p>Selective mutism is defined as another type of anxiety in which a child who is normally capable of speech is unable to speak or becomes silent in certain situations or in front of specific people.</p>
<p>27. Oppositional defiant disorder</p>
<p>Oppositional defiant disorder is defined as an ongoing pattern of uncooperative, disobedient, hostile and defiant behaviour toward parent and authority.</p>
<p>28. Pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorder association with streptococcal infection ( PANDAS)</p>
<p>It is defined as a condition in which the immune system attack the child central nervous system, leading to behaviour, thinking and movement problems.</p>
<p>29. Reactive attachment disorder</p>
<p>Reactive attachment disorder is defined as an inappropriate social behaviour caused by severe early experiences of neglect, abuse of parent or caregivers between the ages of six months and three years.</p>
<p>30. Schizophrenia</p>
<p>Schizophrenia is described as a mental disorder characterized by abnormalities in the perception or expression of reality caused by inability of a child to cope with the change in the internal or external environment, leading to hallucination and delusion.</p>
